Brigit's piece is an excellent and practical commentary on women and mobile financial services. Several of the points she made are amplified and elaborated on in the Grameen Foundation publication "Women, Mobile Phones and Savings". This document focuses on our work with Cashpor in India to use a mobile solution and a partnership with a commercial bank to make progress on microsavings in India (work we did with support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation). In putting these ideas into practice we learned a lot about do's and don't, and the gaps between theory and practice, and attempted to document them for the industry.
